FLOAT QA magnetostatic headphones

Float QA magnetostatic headphones

The Float QA has a new addition

Developed together with Jürg Jecklin, the Float QA was originally designed as an electrostat, just like the legendary Jecklin Float in its original form. This was followed by the dynamic, less expensive models.
QUAD Musikwiedergabe has recently added a magnetostatic model to its range.
The Float QA magnetostat.

The characteristics of the original Float (appearance and wearing comfort) have been retained. Acoustically, it is clearly superior to the dynamic models. Rather close to the electrostats.
Just like the electrostatic Float, it benefits from its extremely light and large diaphragms. The result is an outstanding response with a spatial resolution that conventional headphones lack.

The wearing comfort is the same as with the other QA models. The completely open construction allows for hours of fatigue-free listening. The Float was originally developed by Jürg Jecklin as a studio tool for musicians. The new magnetostatic Float QA follows in his footsteps in this discipline too.
A major advantage of the new head speaker is that it works without an upstream power supply. This saves considerably on purchase costs. Like normal dynamic headphones, it can be connected directly to the amplifier's headphone socket.
