A top-class headphone amplifier is now available for the QA models of the Float.
The circuitry of the headphone amp QA was developed by a German engineer and the amplifier is manufactured by QUAD Musikwiedergabe in the Eifel region of Germany.
An audio transformer is no longer required to operate the electrostatic headphones.
The headphone amplifier immediately supplies the high signal voltage required to operate the electrostatic transducers.
Together with the polarization voltage, this creates the music signal at the ear.
The sound quality thus achieved with this high-end amplifier is clearly superior to other power supplies.
The "Headphone-amp-QA" was developed for all models in the Float QA series.
All restored Jecklin Floats of the old series fitted with new transducers can also be operated with the Headphone-amp-QA.
With a specially developed cascade circuit, numerous electrostatic headphones from Stax can also be operated. The necessary plug connections are available on the amplifier.
