Actually, for Jecklin there was only the electrostatic FLOAT.
The peculiar helmet made the completely open design possible and eliminated
the faults otherwise common in headphones. Electrostatic transducer
technology is always superior to dynamic systems when it comes to reproducing
natural timbres.
The two dynamic floats "Model One" and "Model Two" were therefore compromise solutions. In
the end, they won over music lovers because they were affordable. Even if the customers had to
make clear compromises in the naturalness of the sound colours. Competitors could not offer the
open "Jecklin-typical" design and the associated airy and fatigue-free reproduction. Especially not
for the comparatively low sales price. If a special power supply is necessary to operate the
electrostatic version, the dynamic models can be used with any normal headphone output.
